Builders Fred Kimball and Rick Landis
Since 1979, Rick's Inside Out Construction has been building light commercial structures and remodeling homes, many of them old Victorians. Fred's Kimball Woodworks has been creating custom homes and fine cabinetry since 1989. For five years, he taught residential framing in a Jefferson County Home Builders Association class, offered through Peninsula College. Fred is the 2007 president of the JCHBA. In the late 1990s, Rick and Fred joined forces. Their first adventure together — the remodel of an old Victorian home — earned them the prestigious Jefferson County Historical Society Preservation Award. Architect Ross Chapin is known for his designs of wonderfully-scaled and richly-detailed buildings and gardens. The current focus of Chapin's work is custom residential design and clustered home development. . .such as The Neighborhood of Umatilla Hill and Spring Valley Cottages. He has repeatedly won Sunset Magazine's Western Home Award and his projects are featured in numerous books. Fred Kimball is a member of:
